Duane Reade vs. Walgreens

WHY OH WHY is Duane Reade and Walgreens so much different in price for the same item (even their own Nice Brand) and they are the same company?

This week Nov. 3 to Nov. 10 the big deal at Wallgreens is the B1G1 Free Nice Bathroom tissue and/or Nice Paper Towel. I went to 2 Walgreens at the beginning of the week but no luck, everyone cleared the shelves. It dawned on me that Duane Reade and Walgreens are the same company and they sometimes have the same deals. 

I went over to my local Duane Reade's and look what I found. The same deal for the same item but way more expensive.

Even though they are not the same color they ARE the same product, same size, same quantity.

If you live in the Tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) You know that Duane Reade is the most expensive drugstore compared to CVS, Walgreens & Rite Aid. No couponing site gives coupon matchups for this store becauses there prices are much higher.

The photo says it all. .39 for Physicians Formula makeup brush. There were alot of cheap and close to free makeup items on clearance left at varies Duane Reades that I went to. Go get them NOW.

Duane Reade’s has weird clearance prices this was at a 91% markdown. A lot of there clearance items has 51%, 41% etc (kind of weird to me).
